Fadjar is a corporate lawyer with more than 28 years of experience and is mainly recognised as a leading Indonesian lawyer in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors, including the telecommunication and technology sector. Fadjar has advised local and multinational companies on various project developments in the energy and natural resources sectors. He has also specifically assisted in project financings as well as acquisition of interest or shares, in infrastructure (including toll road, water and electricity), project finance, corporate, M&As, foreign investments, telecommunication, aviation and shipping.
Fadjar’s career started in 1991 as an associate at Mochtar Karuwin & Komar and then continued at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s Singapore office before making partner at Soemadipradja & Taher and founding his own law firm in 2013. His firm, Kandar & Partners, then merged with Roosdiono & Partners in 2018, where he is continuing his private practice to-date. He is often recognized and ranked by various international publications, including by Asialaw Profiles as a Market-leading Lawyer for Energy & Natural Resources, by Asia Business Law Journal, and most recently by Who’s Who Legal as one of the Indonesia’s leading practitioners in Project Finance in 2023.
